I first began beading several years ago because of my fascination with the beads themselves. I love the texture, color and cuts of different stones and glass. My fascination turned into a love affair (it’s okay, my husband knows all about it)I find it brings me a lot of peace, invigoration, and stress relief.

Speaking of stress relief (and the need for), I should add that I teach high school age students at a local alternative school. I have the most amazing students who never cease to surprise and delight me.Although I draw inspiration from many aspects of my surroundings, my students seem to be a constant “supplier”. They always seem to surprise and inspire me with their wisdom (or lack thereof) and their attire (and again, lack thereof).They’re great about fashion trends and make great fashion consultants because of their brutal honesty!

I also have a very supportive husband with impeccable taste (he DID marry me, after all)! He’s an invaluable source for design tips, color consultation, and the “man, that looks great” feedback. And, he does all that for FREE!
